Assuming the injectors are already installed in the fuel rail, put a little fuel on the injector seals, position the injector rail in front of the holes in the head.
Start from one end of the rail and work the first injector into its hole a little bit, but not all the way. then do the same for the second and third. Work them in a little at a time so the injectors dont come loose from the fuel rail.
Once you get all injectors completely into the holes, rotate each of them back and forth until the injector turns smoothly when you rotate it. Once an injector rotates smoothly its seated correctly. But only rotate them a small amount back and forth.
If the injectors are removed from the fuel rail, do it the same way. Just install them in the fuel rail first, then install the rail/injectors into the cylinder head.

Fuel filter

most cars and small trucks that have fuel injection have the filters mounted inside the lower frame rail or tucked up inside the splash pans along the bottom , most times is right below the drivers seat most times ( good spot I know!!) not many times I've seen them in the engine compartment except on some foreign models and no there not inside the fuel tank , the pumps are there though .
use a flashlight and follow the fuel line up towards the front of car starting a fuel tank , you will see it . Note: fuel injected cars/trucks have very high pressure fuel lines , these pressures are in 60/110 pounds per square inch ranges and can hurt you if opened under pressure -even with the car off !!

Seat inca van will not start fuel problem

Need more info. Sometimes there is more than one fuel filter. Make sure the fuel pump is working. Make sure if it is fuel injected that there is enough fuel pressure.

How to bleed fuel lines

This is usually unnecessary because fuel goes back to the tank in a loop. But there is a test port on the fuel rail to measure fuel pressure. The fuel will escape by holding the needle seat in the valve port down. Remember the pressure can be 40-60 psi.
If your engine is not injected, the float seat regulates fuel flow from the fuel pump. Typically the new gasohol fuel will dissolve the rubber tip on the float needle and it will stick in the fuel inlet port and block fuel flow.

Where is the fuel pump located

If you vehicle is fuel injected, it will be located in the fuel tank. Most fuel injected vehicles have an electronic fuel pump that require removal of the fuel tank to access it.

Is there a fuel pump on a 2001 Ford Taurus or is it handled differently because of fuel injection?

Absolutely your Ford Taurus uses a fuel pump, with fuel injection the fuel pump is an electric fuel pump capable of higher pressures needed for the injectors, the fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank, sometimes the fuel tank has to be removed from the vehicle to service the pump, and some vehicles that I have worked on have an access panel under the rear seat to open up and access the pump that way. Good luck !

Fuel problem on 85 cad. what should fuel pres. be and can i get to elect. conect. thru trunk floor?

if it is throttle body injection it is 9-13 psi if it is multi-port injection it should be around 40 psi on some modles there is an access panel in the trunk just behind the rear seat it is round and has 4 to 6 screws holding the cover on if you don't have an access cover you will need to remove the fuel tank
