I have a 2000 jeep wrangler, just replaced the master clylinder and slave cylinder but i continue to have problems after my jeep sets for awhile, the transmission will not go into gear, if i pump the pedal about 30 times it will shift great while i'm driving..............is there anything else that i need to check...........where is the bleeder on the slave cylinder, i saw on here that it is located on the back of the slave cylinder but on mine this is where the line in attaches and there is no bleeder there, if i feel up on top of the slave cylinder i feel something like an allen screw may be located maybe that is where it's at?...............thanks for any assistance.........already paid a guy 260 bucks to replace the master cylinder and slave cylinder............so now i'm even worried about taking it back and having him mess it up more
The bleeder screw is located on top of the slave cylinder. It will not work right until it is properly bled.If the reservoir runs dry, you will have to start all over. Have an assisstant pump the clutch pedal 3 times with the bleeder screw closed...then hold the pedal down and open the bleeder screw. Don't release the pedal until the screw has been retightened...continue this process untill no air bubbles come out of the bleeder screw....don't let the resevoir run dry...Please rate this...
Hello usaully it is on the slave if not try to hold the clutch pedal in overnight with a stick or something take the cover off the master for the slave so air can escape thru the top goodluck
