This is a bad sensor or tone ring, you will need to have a scan tool to watch the speed reading to see which wheel loose speed to activate the abs and only with a scann tool can you do this, what you can try is to check the wheel bearings, jack up each whell and try to shake it if theres movement in the bearing then that may be the bad one, another thing is to scan abs codes and see if theres a code stored for the bad wheel, even if the lights not on there may be a code stored. i will bet its a wheel speed sensor or tone ring problem, good day,

Why does my ABS light stays on and sometimes i get a vibration in the brake petal causing my 2002 Cadillac escalade not wanting to stop?

The light being on means the system has detected a problem in one or more sensors. The vibration is the ABS modulating the brakes to prevent skidding because it has detected a wheel that is locked up. That wheel is most likely the one sensor that is giving you the error.

ABS not working

It sounds like the front brake pads are worn to the point where the caliper piston is over extending, this can cause a lock up condition and damage to brake rotors. If you have no brake repair knowledge, take it to Midas ASAP. Safety is critical so don't delay Brake Pad service.

While driving ABS light came on and car went into a skid, what could have happened?

Abs Light:
If its glowing momentarily while driving in slick conditions then its normal operation..
But if it stays glowing even under dry pavement then there is a problem with your anti lock brake and traction control system..
It happens commonly of wheel speed sensor which malfunctions..
Try to access the data in the anti lock brake module to find out which one malfunctions..

Will a 2004 nissan altima with ABS leave skid marks on dry pavement when brake pedal is fully applied to stop avoiding a potenial accident?

it should leave light skid marks and the brakes can lock on and off rapidly, but it should not lock up and stay locked up

ABS and Handbrake lamps on

This is usually caused by one of the front wheel speed sensors dropping signal under 10MPH. the first thing to try is to remove both front wheel speed sensors (Behind brake rotors) and clean the area where te sensor goes into the hole. Then lightly grease the sensor O ring and reinstall it.

2001 chevy s10 blazer abs light stays .

The abs is a add on for the brakes that when the tires come into a skid or slid they wont lock up..Your brakes will still work great with the abs disabled but your brakes will lock up if you push on the brakes hard enough to stop.Mainly abs works in slippery conditions not letting the tires lock up and keep the car rolling instead of making it slide..But no effect of the brakes will happen..Just make sure your fluid is full and there are no leaks and if you want to get them check you can stop by your local Auto Zone and they will scan your car for free and tell you what sensor is bad..I hope this was helpful to you...Have a great night

I have a 2004 saturn vue when i apply the brakes my abs comes on

It sounds like one of your wheel sensors isn't working, and the ABS is thinking that one wheel is locked up, so it's activating ABS.

Or you could just pull the fuse for the abs and not have abs but you won't wreck from pulsating pedal.
