When's the last time you did a full tune up? (air and fuel filter, plugs, wires, cap, rotor) or could be a number of things. i would look at the temp sensor. i believe when they fail, they peg out all the way cold or all the way hot. so your car thinks it is still cold, when you have reached operating temps, causeing your misfire. good-day !

88' dakota v6 misses and sometimes quits running

Could be several reasons for this. Plz check fuel filter, air filter and general tune-up items ( I. E.) Spark plugs and wires, air cleaner etc.

1993 buick skylark stalls

Is the check engine light on ?
It sounds like the engine temp sensor is not right, but if that were true you should have a check engine light and a code for the sensor.
Have you checked fuel pressure ?

Vibration at idle

it may be idle control sensor or a bad mas air flow sensor--maf sensor in otherwords. or could be engine misfire at cold temp. start. only time when cold? or does run better when warm? try warming engine to operating temperature before driving,if problem removes it's self after warm up,up grade gas to 93 octane for 1 tank full. then see if problem goes away. it's cold where you are right? if so the fuel needs to be at least midgrade 89 octane fuel because 87 octane fuel will not start your honda correctly at cold temps. in cold weather 93 or super gas octane will start ,no problem, low octane fuel sometimes gels, or freezes at low temps. if in warm climate, change the fuel filter, add fuel injector cleaner to your fuel tank[preferablly lucas fuel treatment] this will lube your fuel injectors and give better fuel mileage. thank you for choosing fixya.com

260,000km Car looses power and stalls. will restart then stalls again. Suddenly starts ok and runs ok. Usually when fuel is low but tank is not dry.Gas gauge doesn't work.Fill tank at 500 km on trip...

Did you do anything to repair the mas air flow sensor code or did it go out by itself? If you did not replace it or clean it you should get some mass air flow sensor cleaner and clean it out.You can get this at most part stores. If you are getting this code then you need to repair this problem. This will cause the car to loose power and it can be intermittent.Hope this helps.Good luck.Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Cold starts ok warms up shakes and stalls

check engine coolant temperature when it gets warmer, or at operating temperature, and verify that the temperature gauge is showing warmed up to operating temperature. If the coolant temperature sensor tells the computer the engine is cold it will over fuel and miss and the engine will die. When cooled down it will run fine until it warms up. Also could be coil if it starts missing after warmed up.

Car idles fast when stopped and is now stalling, hard to restart

The Buick 3.8 has a Mas Air Flow Sensor, actually all fuel injected cars do, yet in the 3.8 it reacts just like your describing when it goes out. If you remove the breather hose you will see a honey comb thing in the intake , That is it. The 3.8 will not start properly without that hose not attached and the air filter has to be present and clean.

Engine dies at 150 degrees.

sounds like its not accident related, more like a idle air control motor or something of that nature, ive also herd of this happening when the crank sensor is going bad, it warms up and starts missing the signal.

Missing and not starting when gets warm and run for a bit

ok.. for starters you need to check why you are loosing revs.. it could be your powersteering switch on your steering rack not working.. just bridge switch to test.. revs should not drop on steering.. then check fuel pump relay.. and efi relay.. theese cars are gettin on.. so could be faulty with long use..heat related.. insert a visual inline fuel filter and when it stalls check fuel flow... aswell as put a little fuel in the vacum hose line and see if it starts to confirm its a fuel issue... if the visualis fuel flow than its fuel pump related.. wires can come loose of pump .. as they travell under rear seat.. and into tank.. ... good luck
