Hi i started my car last night and got and INSP flashing on my dashboard ive got the car for 6 months now according to the dealer they serviced the car on 169 000 km it is standing on 176 000 km now is it possible that another service must be done its a 2002 VW Polo please advise it would be much appreciated Thank you

The "INSP" message becomes flashing on the dash after 15000 km or after 1 year, depending which one occuring first. Therefore even the car has been serviced at 169000 km and now has 176000 km, it's very probable that one year had passed.

Service reset

1. Turn the ignition OFF.
2. Press and hold the reset button [1] (see the above picture).
3. Turn the ignition ON.
4. "SERVICE" appears on the display.
5. Release the button [1].
6. Turn the button to the right.
7. The service indicator shows: "---".
8. Turn the ignition OFF.
9. The system is reset.

Inl is coming up on the dashboard. What does this mean?

In1 = INSPECTION 1 (Inspection service)

1. Press and hold button [A] in the picture below.

2. Switch ignition ON.
3. The letters "OIL" will appear in the trip recorder display.
4. Release button [A].
5. Press and release button [A].
6. The letters "INSP" will appear in the trip recorder display.
7. Pull out button [B] for approximately 2 seconds to reset the display.

i have a 2000 kompressor .106,000 miles i have the 3rd changer in it .you can get on ebay for $250.00 ,get 6 while you are at it you wiil need them ,they only last about 6 months.Dealer said it was because of burnt cds ??
