Check all your engine mounts, including the dog bone at the top front of the motor. One way is to put it in neutral or park, securely chock the wheels, handbrake on, and have someone rev the motor while you look for excessive movement in the motor itself and its mountings.
Also your steering rack mounts while you are at it. This can be done by having someone firmly wind the steering wheel back and forth (ignition key in and on ACC) while you inspect the movement allowed by the rack mounts.
have you checked to see if the fan is coming on ? i assume is electric..when a car is sitting still is when the fan is most importaint because it pushes the air through the radiator..but if you are say on a freeway keeping a constint movement air is forced through the radiator ..next time you drive hold your arm out the window flat palmed and feel the force of the air on your hand..thats why when you are moving it cools down and no fan makes it heat up at a stop
Sounds like one of your engine or gearbox mountings are faulty or broken, Check them and try moving the motor with a long bar, if they are broken you will soon see it.
I would venture to say your exhaust is hitting your frame, or, you may need new motor mounts. The exhaust is what I would lean toward. If you can imagine your exhaust sitting under your vehicle, and the fact that the vehicle has a little age, the motor mounts probably give a little, causing the motor to move slightly on acceleration and deceleration, thus your exhaust is going to move, and may be vibrating on whatever its touching. Good luck.
