Need firing order and cylinder locations for 1988 Dodge 250 pickup with 5.9 engine

Firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. Find cylinder 1 (farthest passenger side cylinder on the engine side facing the engine), then locate number 8 (fartherst on driver side on the engine side facing the firewall).

I'm guessing that you have a 6 cylinder, because that is the only engine my book shows for 1951. The cylinders would be numbered in order from front to back. The firing order is 1-5-3-6-2-4. Hope this helps.

If its a v6 its 1, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2......If its a 4 cylinder its 1, 4, 3, 2.

Number 1 is on the drivers side on the front. The cylinders are arranged 1-3-5-7 down the drivers side and 2-4-6-8 down the passengers side. The firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2.

Looking at engine, starting from front on passenger side, front to back is #1,2,3,4
On driver side of engine front to back is #5,6,7,8.
Firing order is 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8.

looking at the engine from the front on your right hand side in order closest to you is cylinder #1, 3 and 5 at the rear closest to the fire wall.
Looking at the left hand side is cylinder #2, 4 and 6 closest to the fire wall.

The firing order is 165432

For all Dodge V8 truck engines, the firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. For all Dodge V6 truck engines, the firing order is 1-6-5-4-3-2. For Dodge inline 6 cylinder engines, the firing order is For all Dodge 4 cylinder engines, the firing order is 1-3-4-2 All dodge distributors rotate clockwise.


look at your distributor cap while standing on the driver's side of the vehicle.
Start at number 1, which is labelled on the cap, and go
clockwise
