Hello, If the AC compressor clutch is working ok, more troubleshooting will be needed to determine the problem. A set of AC manifold gauges needs to be connected and pressure readings taken. From those results, the faulty componet can be found.... i hope this helps.

Air conditioner blows heat, conditioner was charged, freon, checked relay switch, fuse, door blend alol fine still hot air, was told maybe a block in V shape hose is it temp control value Help

Only way to tell if A/C Evaporator Core Orifice tube is plugged is by looking at A/C gauge readings , An if it is plugged you more then likely need a new compressor , they become plugged with metal particles from worn out compressor. Your best bet would be to take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop .

When i turn on my air conditioner in my 1999 durango it blows out hot air. can i put in antifreeze myself or do i need to take to the dealership?

Antifreeze is only for the radiator, does not affect the air conditioner, make sure you have the setting on cold, if it is still hot than take it to your local air conditioner re gas station, most auto electricians do it, dealerships usually send them out which you end up paying extra for!!! You just need a re gas in your air conditioner.

Check to see if air conditioner clutch pump is engaging on engine. If it is you are probably low on freon.

Air conditioner blowing hot air on 2002 monte carlo and it has freon in it

car air conditioner blowing hot air is cause by either a leak or a clogged condenser, since it has a freon in it then it might be a case of clogged condenser but this is just a contributing factor, it is possible that the leak is small that you wont even notice that the freon is not enough for the a/c to blow cold air.

Air conditioner wont work

You need to check your freon level. Go to your auto parts store and pick up a can of freon with a gauge and follow the directions on the can.

Is the compressor engaging? If not he needs to find if a sensor issue if its fully charged or a low pressure or refrigerant condition. You can have pressure without refrigerant.

Air conditioner on 2002 Pontiac blowing hot air, although freon is not low...also makes a clicking noise.

Take it to a garage and have them evacuate the system and refill with refrigerant. you have air and non condensibles in the refrigerant system.
