The altinator is missing ground, any time you remove the battery and the engine dies, that only means that the altinator is not charging, there has to be a fuse for charging systme.

Battery good, alternator good, starter good but my 1966 oldsmobile the alternator isn't charging the battery

Have you replaced the voltage regulator?
Unless you have changed the charging system and eliminated it, the alternator does not have a built-in voltage regulator like the newer ones do.
Be blessed.

2001 mercury sable will run but won't charge and no batttery indicator light in dash will not light

If it runs you have one of 2 issues. 1. The battery is bad and the alternator isn't able to keep it charged (you will have to jump start it every time the motor is shut off). 2. Your alternator is bad and the battery is running the car (when battery is drained car will stop running) which is my belief as the battery light only comes on when the alternator isnt charging. Have the charging system tested at your local AutoZone/Advanced Auto parts store they normally do it for free.

I have a 2001 galant v6 and i just replaced the alternator and the battery because prior to that my car died on me and the cluster started acting crazy so I got a boost and made. It home when i removed the...

You probably have a blown alternator fuse. On most Mitsubishi cars it is a block fuse under the hood. I believe in your case the alternator fuse is the square block attached to the positive battery clamp. It is a dealer only part unless you want to design and build your own. The price is between $10 and $20 depending on your local dealer. Take a flashlight and carefully inspect the fuse link on the positive battery clamp. If it is blown replace it. If the fuse is blown you can have a properly performing alternator and battery with no warning light on the dash (saying your battery is not charging). The symptom is you start out with a fully charged battery and you drive till the battery is dead and the car dies for no apparent reason other than no power. If you are working around the alternator with out disconnecting the battery it is very easy to blow this fuse with out even knowing it happened. You should be back on the road in ten minutes or less for under $20. Good luck.

My shuma 1.5 ls was running fine, then just wouldnt start. Push starts fine, went for a drive and it seems the battery isn't charging, its a newish battery, altenator and starter seems fine. Why?

Have the battery load tested to determine the health and it's ability to take and hold a charge...the alternator can be tested too. If they test fine check your clutch switch. Hope this helps.

My battery light lit up on dash of my 2006. Mitsh. Galant....what does that mean?

More than likely your alternator has stopped charging the battery. You will need to have it tested and if it's not producing enough charge for your battery it willhave to be replaced.

01 galant not charging alternator tested ok alternator light does not light when you turn the key to the on position or when engine running

Check your alternator fuse. On Galant's it is part of the positive battery clamp , is a dealer only part, and can run anywhere from $12 to $20. Your battery light will not come on , your alternator is fine, your battery is in good order, but the battery will go dead and kill the car for no apparent reason. If the fuse is not part of the positive battery clamp you will find it in the fuse box under the hood in this case it is a square fuse (60,70,80 amp etc.).

My 2001 mitsubishi galant was traveling 60mph on the highway when the car lost power and came to a stop on the side of the road now it wouldnt start

Check the alternator fuse. It is either located in the fuse block under the hood and is a block type fuse or is part of the positive battery clamp. If you charge your battery and the car will drive for a while and quit again. You probably just have a blown fuse.
