I am trying to instal a sony radio in a 02 lancer es. the old radio was stolen so all i am looking at are a bunch of wires hanging down from where the wiring harness should be. do you know where i can find a diagram to tell me which wires are what? or do i just have to trace all the wires back to their source?

Easiest to replace would be the factory Delco AM/FM CD...plug in to existing terminals. If wires cut, you should include the plug in terminals with the replacement radio...Local Pic-A-Part is my go to salvage yard radio $25-$75...Walmart also sells radio wire install kits...$14.95? Hope this helps.

Its just a relay they are cheap try replacing it , if that does not work, look for a bare wire and replace it. Or simply run a wire from fuse box that is key on hot only into the hot side of fan connector and a ground off other side of connector. It sounds harder than what it is.This way it comes on when you start it and off when you shut the vehicle down.
I think you might need to ask someone to throttle up the car and you look underneath to try locating the rattling noise. Don't forget that this model runs the exaust pipe in front of the motor so it might be an exaust rattle as well??
