Describe how to locate the radiator drain **** on a pontiac g6 2009

These are usually located at the lower end of one of the tanks at either side of the radiator.
If you Google "Pontiac montana radiator drain" you can access several pictures that show the location.

A friend's son had a car and we couldn't find the radiator drain plug. I finally just pulled the lower radiator hose.

There is no drain plug or valve on most modern radiators. You have to remove the lower radiator hose in order to drain them.

It should be on the bottom of the radiator, a small plastic thumb screw.

You may have to remove the plastic tray under the car to find it.

Hi, those things are pretty much a thing of the past with the aluminum radiator cores and now they crimp composite plastic caps on the tube ends and there is really no solid place the put a drain. Now the common practice though not the prettiest but the only way is to pull the lower radiator hose off to drain the system. Garages of course now use pumps that they slip down into the radiators to do this job. Simple at home cheat is to use a gas pump that you squeeze a bulb to get a siphon going and drain it that way, not as messy.

Standing in front of the vehicle. The drain plug for the radiator is located on the right side at the inside bottom of the radiator. Bottom right hand corner.

Your thermostat is located under the thermostat housing, which is what the upper radiator hose clamps to on the top of your engine. Basically, you need to start with a cold engine, drain your radiator, then unclamp the upper radiator hose from the engine. Remove the bolts from the thermostat housing, and gently tap on it to remove it. clean up the mounting surfaces on both the engine and the housing, and install a new thermostat, and new gasket. tighten to proper torque, reconnect the radiator hose, then refill up the radiator and cooling system.

It should be located on the bottom of the radiator by the bottom radiator hose, if not there chk. other side of the radiator at the bottom its just a plastic button that you screw out, but it does not come all the way out.

The drain **** is located at the base of the radiator on the drivers side. It looks like a butterfly nut.
