Pore quality fuel will also set that code. dont get into too big of a rush to replace it . run a couple tanks of good gas first but here is a diagram that might help you out

What is the symptom? do u have a trouble code for the knock sensor? It is a part that is seldom replaced because of the way it works it has a very low failure rate. The sensor is always screwed into the water jacket of the eng block, look up a picture of the part at an on-line parts store like www.rockauto.com, then you will see what and where is is.
Clear the code and run a better fuel, it may also just be a fluke.

MY CHECK ENGINE SOON LIGHT CAME ON AND WOULD NOT GO OFF SO I HAD THE AUTO DEPT. PUT IT ON THE MACHINE AND IT READ KNOCK SENSOR.I, PD 325. I DID PUT OFF BRAND GAS INTO IT FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME, AS I WAS ON SUPER E! COULD THAT MAYBE CAUSE IT TO COME ON. THANK YOU FOR YOUR QUICK REPLY.
my 1996 Infiniti Q45 check eng light came on. Took it to auto store for comp check, states knock sensor 1 circuit malfunction. as well as camshaft position sensor a- bank malfunction. How soon should I rush out an have this fixed and/or could this be a problem from bad gas put in @ one time? I'm not sure how to go about this matter being told several different stories, could be because I'm a woman with No Clue as to what needs to be done.
