Clogged MAF sensor, cracked or loose Ait intake hose can also cause this stalling problem.---------
also air lock in the fuel, line.i agree fuel pumps replaced. But if there air in the fuel line, the engine will stall.Getting the fuel pressure tested will help, confirming the problem.----------
You need to do a couple of things to troubleshoot the
problem. Wither it is electrical or fuel related. When this happens, pull a
plug wire off of the spark plug and insert something into the end of it and
have someone try to start the car and have the metal object really close to a
piece of metal on the engine and see if you are getting a good strong popping
blue spark. Keep your hands away from any part of the metal. If there is no
spark, then it is electrical. If you are getting good spark then you need to
get a fuel pressure check on the fuel pump to ensure it is putting out okay. ----------- Also try spraying starter fluid on throttle body, then start the car , then drive it half a mile then stop and see, if it still stalls or not.If its not stalling with starter fluid sprayed, then this problem is related to air in fuel pump or the new fuel pump, which you replaced is faulty, its loosing pressure.Get fuel pressure checked.------------- This will help.thanks.helpmech.
When you stop if the Mazda stalls try putting the car into neutral gear and see if it still stalls. if the Mazda does not stall in neutral then the torque converter has failed and needs replacing.
