I have a 03 mitsibishi galant es.. When i get on the interstate i can't go more then 55 or it shakes awfully it feels like a tire is going to fly off? My check engine light has been on for a while now? Wen i excellerate it feels like it puts i changed my spark plugs and coils bout 6 months ago should they be changed again?

Could be a few things, warped rotors, u-joint, upper control arm. Best thing to do is take it to an alignment shop. They will not align it if something is bad on your chassis or front end until you get it fixed. Good Luck
If its a shake it may be a head gasket that is out. Did the cars radiator get hot ? Check the radiator and dipstick for signs of oil. The dipstick will be milky. You can usually smell oil in the radiator.
Better check your engine mountings are in sound condition.
Accelerating will keep the engine taught but idling and high speeds will allow the engine to move about
Did the mechanic remove the rear driveshaft to check for a binding U-joint or just check for loose u-joints without removing the shaft. You need to remove the shaft to do a good check of the joints
