Hi i have a problem with my 2000 mazda 626 LX 4 cyl .. The other day(sept 5, 2011) i had a oil change & replaced my air filter. Then a couple days i replaced all 4 spark plugs. Thought it would fix the problem i had. It still loses alot of gas, it feels like its gonna die when stopped at light & hesitates or stumbles when i start to go.. Also when i'm on the freeway going over 50 mph it sounds like the car won't shift like its suppose.. Would it be my "fuel filter" i need to replaced or my "pcv valve" ??? One more thing where is the "Fuel filter" located at???

You need a shop to check it over, before you replace more parts. The fuel filter may need to be replaced, but it wont fix your problem, its under the hood, near the LF wheel.

Speedometer does not work below 20 MPH and transmission does not shif right on 4 cyl automatic trans 2001 626

Check the wire leads to your Vehicle Velocity Speed (VVS) sensor, or replace the VVS sensor. it's located on the Transmission's out put shaft, on the trans axle, underneath the air compartment (air filter).

Looking for oil filter position on 99 mazda 626

On my 98 626 4 cyl, 2.0 it is located on the back right side of the engine underneath the intake manifold. You can reach it from the top if you have slim arm and small hand. Best reached from underneath.

How to replace Air Filter in 1998 Mazda 626, 4 Cyl

There is more then 2 clips, look carefully feel around, you will find them. Unclip and then pull the cover up. Just remove the filter and replace with new one . also make sure that the little rubber gasket is seated properly. One last thing bring a vacum cleaner. When you access the filter you may find dirt and dead bugs in there so vacum it out. good luck
