You can find the proper routing, by looking for the serpentine diagram, normally found on underside of hood or on radiator support in engine compartment

Instructions needed for changing serpentine belt on 2002 Ford Windstar 3.8L

the serpentine belt routing chart, adhered to the fan shroud. This chart will show you the location of the belt tensioner.

2 Pull the belt tensioner off the belt with the serpentine belt tool. Reach in with your free hand and slip the belt out of the tensioner's path and then slowly move the tensioner back into position.

3 Pull the belt off the remaining pulleys by hand

I need a diagram to put a serpentine belt on a 2001 Ford Taurus 3.0 dohc. The pulley on mine is more to the right though!

Looking for a diagram for routing of serpentine belt on a 2001 Ford Taurus...3.0 engine...part # is 855K6

There is usually a decal when you open the hood that shows serpentine belt routing.It may be half covered with dirt.Our Ford has one.If it isn't there,local libraries usually have haynes manuals.A Ford dealer may give you one also. Good luck.

How to replace a serpentine belt on a ford taurus 2002

just replaced serpentine belt on my 2000 taurus with the push rod engine, first remove the plastic radiator recovery bottle.
next using a 15mm closed end wrench, remove the tension from the aerpentine belt. paying special attention on the routing of the belt prior to removing. Remove the old belt. Reverse this procedure to replace the belt.

Here is the routing diagram for your vehicle. This is for the 2002 Ford Taurus. DOHC 12v 3.0L engine.
