Unplug the fan at the connector,, use jumper wires from the battery to see if the fan works with direct current, if it does, check the relay for the fan in the under hood fuse box, and also the fuse itself

How does radiation fan turn

How does a car radiator fan work?
The engine cooling fan is designed to move air through the radiator when the vehicleis at slower speeds or stopped. This air flow removes heat from the coolant created by the engine using the radiator as a conductor. An engine cooling fan is temperature controlled to only run when needed.26 Jan 2017

2003 kia sedona ex heat not working

If the engine temp rise while sitting at lights then you have an air flow through radiator problem. Electric fans not working or viscous fan hub is faulty. high heat except at speed may indicate an air lock in the cooling system or coolant level in the radiator. Check at radiator cap not the reservoir.

Where to put stop leak in the radiator and what kind

Hi, I've been working on cars for over 40 years and found that all radiator stop leaks are a waste of time and money. Radiators have small cooling lines in front of the cooling fan which need to stay open. Stop leak products stops up radiators, engines and heater coils. If the radiator is not able to remove the heat for the engine, you'll most likely blow a head gasket. Replace the radiator $200.00. You'll have to do it anyway after you blow a head gasket ($1500-2500).

Over heating

If your vehical is over heating at idea it is most likely the radiator fan
this can be checked by running the car until it heats up and looking at the fan to see if it is running.
This usually isn't an issue as long as you are driving, but when you stop or driving slow or in traffic it will start heating up quickly. your fan keeps air flow going through the engine while at a stop to help cool down the engine compartment and pull.push air through the radiator

If you still over heat no matter if your driving or stopped it may be a thermostatic radiator valve that went bad. this is a release valve between the radiator and the engine that helps control the coolent flow between the engine and radiator and control how much heat is taken out of the engine to be cooled in the radiator.

So, run the car and see if the radiator fan kicks on. if it does, it's probably not a bad fan. if your car starts over heating and the fan never comes on it's most likely some problem with the fan

if it is turning and you are still having problems overheating go buy a new valve and change it out. cost you at most 5 bucks for a new one (probably less)

2001 town&country had replaced radiator but now fan stop working van is not over heating and heat is good hanve no other problem just fan s not working olease help me to find out waht could be problem

ANY TIME YOU CHANGE RADIATOR ONCE YOU GET THE NEW RADIATOR IN PLACE.FILL RADIATOR WITH ANTIFREEZE CRANK VECHICLE UNTIL THERMOSTAT OPEN. WHEN YOU TOUCH THE TOP RADIATOR HOSE.IF TOP HOSE HOT THERMOSTAT OPEN.CHECK RADIATOR COOLANT LEVEL IF DROPPED ANY.ADD COOLANT UNTIL LEVEL QUIT DROPPING. WHEN COOLANT LEVEL QUIT DROPPING YOUR COOLANT LEVEL IS CORRECT. NO MORE AIR IN COOLANT SYSTEM OR AROUND COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR COOLANT FAN SHOULD TURN ON ONCE ENGINE GET TO CERTAIN COOLANT TEMPERATURE.SEE IF COOLANT TOO LOW NOT ENOUGH COOLANT REACH COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR. SENSOR CANT TURN ON FANS IF ITS NOT IN HOT COOLANT. WHICH DECREASE ITS RESISTANCE WHICH CLOSE OR GROUND CIRCUIT CAUSING COOLING FANS TURN ON.

A/c and car over heating

sounds like your cooling fans are not working. look under the hood with the a/c on and check if your electric cooling fan s are working. they are mounted to the inside of the radiator.

Heats up when stopped and cools down when running

Almost certainly a problem with the radiator cooling fan. When the car is stationary only the fan forces air through the radiator to cool the coolant. When on the move the car pushes air through the radiator. Next time is gets warm put the interior heating on to full blast. It will be uncomfortably hot but it will help take heat from the coolant. Check out that fan operation

My radiator fans both have stopped working

Could be a few things. If your fans were just working then just stopped, it could be the fan motor. It could also be the relay. If you know where your lo speed and high speed cooling fan relays are located, you can eliminate this step easily. Take a known working relay (rear defrost or something not essential for starting) and replace the fan relay with the known operational relay while your engine is running and A/C is turned on. If the fans start, there's your problem, if not, then it's probably your fan motors.
Make sure the fuse that protects the fan speed relays is not blown as well.

2005 hyundai sonata is running hot while sitting at stop lights

Check your fuse and relay to the radiator fan, There going to be high amp fuse so most likely will be in the fuse box by the battery. If the fuse and relay is good, check the wire harness connection at the fans. The other thing to is to run the engine and turn on your A/C, the A/C should over ride the switch and turn on the fans. If the fans do turn on, inspect the radiator fluid, make sure it's at it's level and if it's never been serviced. It may be time, Orange antifreeze has a life of 150,000 miles or 5 years and the green antifreeze has a life of 30,000 miles and 1 year. The thermostat may also gone bad but i don't think at this case since your car only heats up while your stopped. If everything is working (fan) just replace the antifreeze 50/50 mix (Antifreeze/water), Water has great heat transfer but boils so antifreeze is added, and 100% antifreeze does not have great heat transfer and will gel when heated so the two have to be mixed 50/50 and if your not sure how to mix the two. You can buy them 50/50 mix and the capacity to your car total fill is 7.3 liter 4 cylinder/ 8.6 liter 6 cylinder.

Motor heats up

If the fan is working and water is circulating, it could be losing pressure. Replace the radiator cap or on some vehicles the coolant refill cap. I had this same issue with a Grand AM.
