This is no where close to my BMW. This is a V12 I have and it is not designed like the picture sent to me. Also your description that you have included only confuses me because it does not describe my vehicle at all. My car is not laid out in the way those instruction you sent to me. I can't use that.

Hi, What series engine is your vehicle equiped with? It will start with an M? The plugs are hidden under a cover, and it depends on the series.

I have listed a generic spark plug replacement procedure that will help in spark plug replacement. You must pay attention to detail when performing this procedure. I apologize for the delay, my internet connection is not so great today. I would also recommend a BMW service manual for future reference as well as other repair procedures.

        On M50, S50, M52 and S52 engines:

Remove the valve cover trim fastener caps, the remove the fasteners securing the trim to the valve cover.

Remove the oil fill cap and place a clean rag in the oil filler cavity to prevent debris from falling into the engine. On M50 engines it may be necessary to remove the fuel injector rail trim cover before removing the valve trim cover. The fuel injector rail cover is removed in the same method as the valve cover trim.

Release the clips for the coil pack electrical connectors, disconnect and place the coil wiring harness aside. Make sure not to note the correct location for each coil's electrical connection.

Remove the fasteners securing the coil packs.

Note the coil pack location for correct reinstallation, then carefully lift the coil packs upward and set aside to expose the spark plug hole cavities.

If compressed air is available, blow out the recessed cavities in which the spark plugs are located.

Use a spark plug socket and extension, and place over the spark plug. Loosen the spark plug 1 / 8 a turn (45°) counterclockwise and if compressed air is available, blow out the recessed cavity in which the spark plug is located a second time.

Remove the spark plug. Inspect the plug and plug gap as outlined in this section, and replace as necessary.

                To install:

Check and adjust the spark plug gap as necessary. If the plug has dual electrodes, the gap should not be adjusted, and if out of specification the plug should be replaced. Always check the gap of a new plug to make sure it hasn't been damaged during packaging or shipping. Some spark plugs come pre-gapped and should not be gapped. Consult the spark plug's manufacturer for plug gapping information.

Apply a light coat of an anti-seize compound the threads of the spark plug, unless directed otherwise by the spark plug manufacturer.

Place the spark plug in the socket or use a piece of rubber hose placed over the spark plug porcelain to place the plug in the spark plug hole.

                    To install:

Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure, making sure to correctly route the plug wire and make sure it snaps into place when installed onto the coil and spark plug.

Ok, but that is close to procedure although it may not be exact. What issue are you having? Finding the spark plugs? Not sure what to disassemble?

Who do I remove rear seat for a BMW 760li?

Most rear seats need to be unlatched from the very bottom on each side. Try sliding the driver and passenger seats fully forward. With your back against the front seat press forward toward the trunk on the bottom of the rear seat on one corner at a time near the floor and lift up. This should release the latch. To replace the seat simply slide the seat back into place with the front slightly raised upward and push the seat in toward the trunk then push down til you hear the latch catch.

REPLACING SPARK PLUGS ON A 2003 BMW 760LI

Hi Tony

Really? to be honest, this is a very time consuming thing, it will take a professional 2 1/4 hours to change the spark plugs on your vehicle, so if you have not a clue how to then you are going to be looking at at least 4 hours+ to do it, you will have to remove the intake manifold and also all its associated equipment attached to it as well and you will probably need a hand to lift it all out and put it back in, there is no easy way to do it, i would rather spend the money on a pro to get his hands cut up also after you change them there is that chance that you will need to re-seal the manifold and might get a light on your dash that will have to be re-set by the dealer anyway, so...not to put you off, good luck with that.

I need to know how to install spark plugs in a bmw 760li. are you able to tell me what to do.

HI there hear is step by step on how to replace spark plugs this is on bmw 740 put its the same thin

First, remove the main shroud and then using a screw driver the two flat square covers that will reveal the bolts that hold the plastic head covers:

sp01.jpg

Unscrew the two bolts and then remove the plastic cover. You will see this:

sp02.jpg

Next, remove the two bolts that hold in the coil that sits over the spark plug (geez, this really is this easy):

sp03.jpg

Unplug the coil by moving the metal clip that holds the plug in up all the way and then pulling out the plug. Here is a picture of the removed coil:

sp06.jpg

And a picture of all the removed coils from one side and the cover:

sp04.jpg

Here is a picture of the head with the coils removed. Note the pooling of oil especially to the right at the plug closest to the firewall. Must have some head gasket failure action going on here:

sp05.jpg

Here is a look at the coil from the spark plug side -- just a spring that pushes on the plug -- just slides over it easy as pie. NO connecting -- Geez this is too easy:

sp07.jpg

Picture of the head with 1 spark plug removed:

sp08.jpg

Picture of the removed plug. Not to bad -- some white sut. Note the oil in the threads -- this happened when I removed the plug and the pooled oil hit the threads:

sp09.jpg

These are the plugs I went with -- Bosch Platnum +4, part #4417. I got them from Autozone. They have something like a 3 Trillion mile warranty or something. They were $5.99 per -- came to $48.00 for the set. I ain't nevah spent much more than $1.29 for a plug so this was something new for me:

sp10.jpg

Some looks at the plug:

sp11.jpg

sp12.jpg

Put the new plugs in (with proper anti-seize on the threads) and then slide the coil down over the plug, plug in the plug to the coil and then bolt down the coil. Plug #1 done:

sp13.jpg

Do all 8 and you are done! Boo yaaaaaaaahhhhhhh.

Now -- Funny shot. What's wrong with this picture:

Cant start my 3 series BMW, its become immoboilsed, replaced batts in car and key,

All I can say it's either your spark plugs or something, check your spark plugs, go to like AutoZone and get them changed. If you do it yourself, then you're gonna need a long socket wrench to take them out and replace them.
