I got a 1994 e36 320i automatic 2 weeks ago i had the vehicle steamwashed the day after the started with a efford after that it would not even turn the motor although you can make it tur n by shorting the starter the after market immobilizer have been removed but the problem persist can u give advise please bmw e36 1994 model problem occured after steam washed had the computer tested and removed after market immobilizer

the timing belt will not have anything to do with the motor turning over trying to start. First make sure u do have a very strong battery. Could be a bad connection or a broken wire to starter also.
YES, the fuel cut off switch is located on the passenger side of vehicle. remove the side panel and on the firewall you will see a small black box with a red button, press red button down to activate. turn ignition on and you should hear pump turn on for a quick brief second.
The shifter is not fully in park or neutral beacuse it's loose. Check for a small screw on the floor on the driver side.
If not adjusted properly, the stater won't engage.

The battery may need to be replaced, the battery is not holding a charge or you didn't run car long enough. Try boosting again and let the car run for about 1/2 an hour to 1 hr. Then try to start the next day. If it doesn't start you will need a new battery.
