I would check to see if you are losing pressure. You should have constant pressure in the system at all times. A quick thing you may want to try is when you first go to start it don't. Just turn the key to the on position without turning the engine over for about 5 seconds. Then turn the key off. Turn the key back to just the on position again. Turn the key off. then try and start it. Turning the key to just the on position will engage your fuel pump relay for about 5 seconds which in turn will build up fuel pressure. If it starts after you do this the first time you may be losing pressure. You can always put a pressure tester on there and check the prssure while it's not running to see if you lose prssure that way. It should have pressure even when it's not running at all times. I hope this helps and good luck.

How do I change the fuel filter on my 2007 Kia Rondo

That's the sign of a bad check valve in the fuel pump, not a clogged fuel filter. Do a pressure leakdown test overnight. If pressure falls more than 5-10-psi, it's a bad check valve.

My 2001vw passat some times won't start unless i use starting fluid.I have changed air filter and spark plugs. When i hook it up no codes come up

Troubleshooting steps:
  1. When you first turn the key on, listen for the sound of the FUEL PUMP (humming sound). If you just turn the key on but don't turn it to START, the fuel pump should run for no more than 3-5 seconds. If it does, continue troubleshooting;
  2. If the FUEL PUMP runs longer than 3-5 seconds, check for fuel leaks.
  3. Test pressure at the fuel rail. If pressure is erratic or too high at idle, replace the fuel pressure regulator;
  4. If fuel pressure is too low at idle, replace the fuel filter. Still too low? Replace the fuel pump and fuel pickup strainer.

Turns over but dosnt start its getting spark

Could be fuel pump, Fuel pump relay, fuel pump circuits, fuel filter, bad fuel, defective Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF), shorted or open fuel injector circuits, broken timing belt, worn out or improperly gapped spark plugs, blown head gasket, damaged valve train components. You need to check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail and the engine compression to eliminate many of the possible causes on this list.

2001 cavalier died while driving, now it wont start

Could be failed fuel pump. Disconnect fuel line at engine and turn over a couple times having something to catch gas in. If electric pump don't turn over engine, just turn key to run position for a few seconds. Maybe clogged fuel filter or faulty pump if no gas shows. Change fuel filter and try again. If none, change pump.
