Check Engine light on for no appaerent reason, fluids seem fine. Hoping it's not somthing deeper

sounds more like an engine issue off the top of my head. The transmission runs off the vacuum from the engine. If the engine timing chain is stretched it will run then not run, have problems idling and shifting and won't charge the battery properly. anyone who has done one before could probably tell you just by the sound of the engine running.

be checking transmission fluid levels.. fill to full if low.. also look for contaminated fluid.. may need a fluid and filter change..

Flush your car's transmission fluid , but don't do it yourself or at local shops take it to Toyota and have them replace fluid and filter . Reason why they use special pumps to extract all fluids properly . And actually replace it correctly other shops the only thing they will do is drop the oil pan and drain the fluid in the oil pan only . There is still fluid all over the lines and torque converter . Recommend dealer all the way , it's only 10-30 $. Different .besides you get genuine parts and fluids . Good luck I hope this help .

Sounds like an idle control issue or a vacuum leak. Most auto parts stores will check the engine light for free. Have them check the system for trouble codes and repost with the codes

engine light is telling you somthing is wrong..very possable a hose may have been nocked loose during your service ( if a lube shop serviced it fast they may have knocked off a evap line checking the air filter.. stop into autozone and they will pull the code for you for free..need to know why the light is on before we can go any further

HAVE VECHICLE SCANNED SOUND LIKE TORQUE PROBLEMS. OR VECHICLE SPEED SENSOR. CHECK TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL.I WOULD DO A TRANSMISSION FLUID AND FILTER CHANGE FIRST IT NOT BEEN CHANGED A LONG LONG TIME. BEFORE GETTING DEEPER INTO MAJOR TRANSMISSION REPAIR.ANOTHER THING MAKE SURE ENGINE WELL FINE TUNED IF NOT IT WILL CAUSE TRANSMISSION SHIFT PROBLEMS. LIKE I WAS SAYING IF TRANSMISSION FILTER STOPPED UP IT CAUSE LOW TRANSMISSION FLUID PRESSURE CAUSING LOTS TRANSMISSION SHIFTING PROBLEMS

probably, the check engine light could come on for so many reasons that i wouldnt have space here to list them, if it the first time its come on, then your probably ok, i have friends who continually drive with the check engine light and thier car seems just fine....

Yes basically its the same as a check engine light, except its a transmission problem. It could be somthing as simple as a sensor got the wrong reading the one time and it may never happen again, Or it could be somthing more major.

first id say check the transmisson fluid. If its low add some fluid ( id only use OEM honda fluid) if the light continues to flash take it to a autoparts store or shop to have the code read

The engine warning light can turn on for hundreds of reasons, some as simple as a loose gas cap. The computer in your jeep needs scanned to see what tripped the code. Most auto parts stores will do this for free, and tell you what most likely caused the light. This way you can get on your way to fixing your problem.

It might be the battery, check the voltage somewhere for instance in AutoZone store (they do it for free)
