2000 cherokee sport blower motor control

Interior fan- "blower" works only at high speed and off, replaced a/c heater control assembly- problem remains. Haynes manual wiring diagram shows resistors for fan speed in the "HVAC unit". what and where is that and could that be the problem?

Blower fan does not work. Switch does not turn on fan in Low, Med or High position. Only getting power to the panel lights. No power to the other wires in the connector. Checked all fuses-all good. Don't know how to check relays...

It is a bad blower motor resistor and it is mounted on the bottom of the A/C heater housing on the passenger side of the vehicle under the glovebox area. Hope this helps. Please rate this a fixya if it helps. Thanks.

2000 Chevrolet Impala blower motor work from 1-4 but not on 5th speed why?

The blower motor relay is energized when the Blower Motor Control is set to the High position. This removes the blower motor resistors from the circuit and battery voltage is then applied directly from the HVAC BLO fuse (RH IP Accessory Wiring Junction Block) to the blower motor though the relay switch contacts. The blower motor then runs at high speed.

HVAC Blower Controls Circuit Description
The blower motor is a variable speed motor. The motor operates at a higher rate when voltage is increased to the maximum level.
The blower motor resistors reduce the voltage supplied from the A/C FAN fuse (LH IP Accessory Wiring Junction Block) when the blower control is set at low and medium speeds (speeds 1-4).

Heater / air conditioner fan control doesn't engage fan. Previously, it only worked in high speed.

I would replace the blower motor resistor first then see if that corrects this. The resistor is located next to the blower motor under the dash.

AC and Heater fan will only work on high speed, all fuses good. any ideas thanks, Dave

When the blower fan will only work on high speed setting this means the fans speed control resistor is burned out, when it fails the fan defaults to high speed only. The fan resistor is located next to the fan and held into the cooling air duct by 2 screws near the blower motor. The part is fairly cheap and easy to replace.

Jeep cherokee 2000 heater fan does't run

If it doesn't run on any speed then check fuses and relay's under the hood in the power distribution box,if all are good then use a test light or volt meter on fan motor wires with fan switch set on high,if you have power there then replace fan motor,if the fan works on some speeds and not others than check the fan speed control module,it is located in the air duct on pass side below glove box.

My 95 jeep cherokee heater switch on ly works on high

I would try to replace the blower motor resistor first,If that doesnt repair your problem you may wanna try replacing the blower speed switch. The resistor is located under the passenger side of the dash mounted in the heater box.

I have a 98 cherokee sport and the heaters do not warm up at all and if they do then it will take a few hours plus the blower only works on high speed (4).

The heat in your car comes from the heater core,it's a baby radiator under the dash,The coolant from the engine flows through it, So as the engine coolant gets hotter so does your heater core. If the coolant is not getting warm you might want to replace the thermostat, that will help alot.
Your blower fan gets it's different speeds from a devise called "the blower motor resister"
you will need to change that.

Interior fan won't run to run A/C or heater. I

If blower only works on high speed I would say blower motor resistor but if it does not work at all I would suspect blower motor. Make sure you are getting power to motor if not it might be blower motor switch.

Heat/AC Blower fan speed only works on High

Alot of people have the same problem with the fan switch and blown bulbs. There really is no fix for this. Jeep really screwed up when designing the heater control assembly. The cheapest solution is to buy another unit off Ebay. Can always go to the dealer but be ready to PAY for there mistakes.
