I have an '02 Pathfinder. The climate controls are messed up. It's like the heat is stuck to 'on' no matter where I turn the temperature knob. The fan controls still work just fine, as in adjustable speeds, I just can't get it to blow anything but hot air. And not just semi-hot air, but as if the heater was on high....

If you have automatic climate control the sensor/switch may be faulty. It is located under the instrument panel and can be tested with an ohmmeter.

The blend door actuator has likely failed. Unfortunately, it's a real pain to replace. There is a procedure at the link below.

SOURCE: 02 Jaguar S Type - Heater blowing cold air

Has the vehicle overheated recently, if not there is a failure of the Coolant from engine valve controller, that measures flow through the Heater Matrix. Come back with more, as necessary.

2008 Ford Expedition heater blower stays on high speed no matter where I put the speed button. Have the climate control system.

Sound like the blend door behind the glove box is stuck. My problem that it was stuck in the closed position so I was not getting any heat. I had to take it to the repair shop and they took off the dash to get to it. It was expensive.

Nissan pathfinder 2005 climate control lights

There is no common issue. But if all blinked off at the same time there is a printed circuit board problem inside the control, the tiny bulbs are hard wired to the circuit board. I would do a google search for a used control head, a new one will be very pricey.

2000 Buick Lesabre Limited with electronic climate control.

Could be a vacuum actuator problem. or just a vacuum leak, period. I have a Jeep that when it has a vac leak, the climate system defaults to the defrost, no matter what you set it at.

I can`t change the temp on the climate control on my 98 Explorer. No matter where you set the temp control it is always on full heat.Where is the problem, under the hood or in the dash? Thanks

check the knob, they are known to crack. and when they do, you are just turning the knob, not the shaft. if the knob is good, the blend door actuator may be bad/stuck

Climate control will not divert air to defrost. 92 roadmaster

It could be either..but most likely electrical.....the door motor may be bad or the head unti( a/c heat panel) could be bad or have a bad switch in it.

Temp. actuator stuck on heat , probably . Manual or automatic climate control . Electrically controlled temp actuator , or the door is stuck in heat side.
