SOURCE: The blower works blowing only cold air no heat? I

The heat is generated by a radiator located in your dash using engine coolant. You don't have heat because the valve that is controlling the coolant flow is closed - either it or the commands that is controlling it are broken - find which and fix them.

Testimonial: "Is this valve easily accessible? How do you keep it open? Commands, is that computer realted?"

SOURCE: The heat is not working in my car... it blows

generally **** has built up in the heater core to the point where it is so thick there is no transfer of heat or the core is just plugged. and i will bet that the dashboard has to be removed to replace the core so not really an owner serviceable item. what i did on my old 01 vitara was disconnect both hoses to the heater core, then i put a lawn hose on the heater core pipe end, one at a time, and blew **** out of it first one way and then the other. now bear in mind you could blast a hole through a weak point in the core, then you will be running without one. this hillbilly process restored some heat to the heater, in that and other cars, but it was not like a new one.

The heater in my excel blows cold air only . The dimist still works just no heat what should i look for?

There are several things that you can do about a heater blowing cold air, but if you keep running into problems then it might just be time to call in a heating repair company. If need be, here is a useful article on: HVAC installation cost, and how to get a fair price. How serious of an issue this is depends greatly on where you live. If you live in the north (Bozeman, MT, etc), then I'd recommend you have your furnace inspected annually to ensure that it is working properly. I'd also recommend that you install a backup means of heat...just in case. ASM has over 25 years of heating and air conditioning experience. If you have questions about a heater blowing cold air or any other HVAC related topic, try the ASM Air Conditioning and Heating Blog or if something your contractor is telling you seems expensive or doesn't sound quite right, consider using our Online Air Conditioning Consultation Service.

Heatdoesn't work, A/C blows out warm air and defrosts blow out cold air

Right think the problem is the heater core is blocked with corrosion ,now remove the bottom hose from the rad and the heater hoses then flush every which way you can including through the heater core reversing direction then ,refit all the hoses fill with water only and see if heater works if so the remove the bottom hose again and drain ,then add a minium of 3 litres of antifreeze ,its a anti corrosion agent as well as antifreeze and without it the internal of the engine will corrode and the slurry will block the heater first then the radiator ,

I charged my ac last summer, worked great. This summer the 2 vents on the passenger side work great, very cold. The 2 vents on the drivers side blow air but not cold, just like the ac is not on?

One of your Actuators inside the dash that control the A/C Heat doors/ Baffles that open or close, to either give you hot or cold air has failed. Find and replace the failed Actuator and it should work fine.

This morning i got into the car turned the heat on worked great got out of the car came back in and the heat doesn't blow out nothing HELP it's cold

If nothing is blowing, you may have blown the fuse for your fan. You can check to see if the air is indeed heating by driving down the road with the heat turned on and the air control in the fresh air position, (not recirculate), if the fan is not blowing and the air control is on recirculate, no air will come thru the system, so this test will not work. So be sure it is set to fresh if you try this.

1998 S10 heat wont work sometimes

When you say the heat doesn't work are you meaning the fan doesn't blow out hot air or just doesn't blow out any air? if it blows cold air sometimes when you have the heat on then it could be poor circulation through your radiator or a weak water pump. make sure your radiator is clean on the inside, not too corroded or nasty inside. You can buy a radiator flush thing from wal-mart or any auto parts store. See if it helps.
