The fuel pump is located in the fuel tank. You need to drain the fuel and pull the tank out from the car. Your fuel pump will look like this, the top is part of the fuel tank.

Remove the back seat, there should be a cover to remove allowing easy access to the pump.

In order to replace the fuel pump u must remove the gas tank, the fuel pump is located inside the tank. U are going to need to get the car at least 3 feet in the air, u will need a good 2 1/2 ton hydraulic floor jack, 4 good safety stands and common hand tools, also a brass drift to release fuel pump module retainner ring on top of tank, don't use steel one spark and u are up in smoke.

I solved the problem by ordering the filter fro an online site that gave instructions:

instructions at this link are:
Turn on wipers until they are in an upright position then turn ignition off. Open the hood. The filter compartment is on the passenger side, directly beneath the windshield. Pull back weather strip and remove cowl. Slide the water shield toward the front of the vehicle then lift to remove. Replace filter and reassemble.
I have it out and am waiting for new filter.

How about the security light on dashboard? It flashes every 2 sec. When u turn the key on it should stay on constanly for 3 sec then go off. If it flashes rapidly, like mine did, then it isnt reading the key. I took some electronic contact cleaner and sprayed it in the ignition whele slidin the key in an out. And it works now. I have to tilt the steerin wheel all the way down also. Not sure why. It took me a while to fig out what was going on with it. I even chngd the pump. It cuts the pwr off to the pump. but there is pwr at safety switch. If it stops wrkn again i will run a wire from it to pump. Better than new sec key and computer. Also when you start it for first time ea day. Turn key on till u hear pump run and stop. Then turn off and on again so it will build up more fuel pressure. Hope this helps. Take neg bat cable off b4 spraying the ignition.
Yes it is in the fuel tank and it is a pain. But not impossible. I would use car ramps under rear tires that is about hi enough to slide tank out. Flush tank out to.
