FC P1529 means "Check TCM"

  • the vehicle is stuck in 3rd gear failsafe, this is what happens when there is a trans fault, but you made a big mistake.
  • you replaced the wrong sensor you put in a vehicle speed sensor wich calculates the rpm and speed of vehicle,,
  • your problem is an input and out put speed sensor wich is also located on top of the trans these sensors measure the speed of the input and out put shafts inside of the trans mission,,
  • you probably will not be able to get these sensors aftermarket, dealer item only i think

SOURCE: engine stalling on a 2002 chevy tahoe z71

Still sounds like a fuel problem. Try a full tank of supreme gas, plus put a can of SEAFOAM into the tank to help clean you injectors. See if this will help clear up your problem. Did you change the plugwires????

SOURCE: 2004 Sonata stalls out for no reason then won't start

hi there, i have a 2003 sonata and my car did the same. it stalled and the engine light stayed on but managed to get going again. i took it to Hyundai and it was the crank angle sensor. it needed replacing at NZD180.00 with 3 hours labour to do it. evidently they remove the front of the engine and cam belt etc. the workshop at Hyundai did it and charged 3 hours, not sure if that was excessive or not.

SOURCE: change water pump on 2001 hyundai tiburon

It is a 2.0L (the delta blocks weren't in tibs until '03). You have to remove the timing belt tensioner, and then you can remove the bolts for the water pump. I would strongly recommend not only taking careful precaution not to disturb the orientation of the gears in this process, but also to replace the timing belt and water pump at the same time. You don't want to go through this process all over again do you?

Car never reaches operating temperature (cold weather) thus little to no heat inside

change the thermostat, sounds like it could stuck open and wont allow the engine reach operating temp, also test the constant control relay module located to the right of the battery as your facing the front of the car, also test coolant temp switch it might be defective and producing a high voltage that would cause the fans to constantly operate no matter the temp. Hope this helps

Overheat 2001 hyundai tiburon

Only 2 parts remaining are the thermostat and waterpump. Always start with the thermostat when diagnosing an overheating problem. If the car is overheating constantly under all conditions and coolant is backing up into the reservoir, it's very likely to be the thermostat. If it only overheats at low speed or idling, it's more likely the waterpump.

Very bad idol and run condition.

sounds like a possible water temp issue... check your thermostat and/or water temp sensor. when you first start your engine the computer uses the water temp reading to do a 'cold start' scenario, more fuel. once you reach normal operating temp the fuel should be cut back. if the thermostat is not opening and closing properly this can cause strange readings from the water temp sensor (which is mounted near the thermostat)... unlikely the sensor is bad, but a possibility... more likely the thermostat.

Check engine light comes on when car is warm.

could be the crank sensor breaking down when hot which will cause you to lose spark, get it hot and see if have a spark from plug lead after it does cut out and this will verify it.
