I have had my new subaru impreza for only 7 monthes. In the beginning the care was stalling on me (about 3 times). Now I am told I need to replace my cattolic converter. Is this normal?
engine stalls mainly in reverse. also when clutch is pushed in the dash lights blink (very odd- has to be dull day or morning without headlights on to be able to notice). haven't had a lot of satisfaction from the dealer. car also hesitates when cruising along at about 60k. feels like it just doesn't want to goengine stalls mainly in reverse. also when clutch is pushed in the dash lights blink (very odd- has to be dull day or morning without headlights on to be able to notice). haven't had a lot of satisfaction from the dealer. car also hesitates when cruising along at about 60k. feels like it just doesn't want to go

The only reason except for a defective cat is a poor running engine that would plug your cat. find a exhaust shop to have it checked . they dont charge much and if you have to replace it they will be the cheapest.
For a subaru this can be a common problem and can cause the engine to stall or cut out my opinion is get a second opinion from a mechanic i will let you no cats can be very expensive depending on the type and cc of your vehicle

u should definitely get ur engines computer system scanned to avoid misdiagnosing ur isssue. once u retrieve ur eng codes u can then begin to decide which one of ur 25 sensors are acting up, or where to start lookin an testing for ur fault..... good luck
Open rear liftgate and there are little slide clips on each end, you pull the clips then slide gas strut/support cyls off. Most new replacements come with new clips.
the car was brand new when i bought it and is already having problems
