Hello there, Sounds like you could have a cell that's shorted out.The battery will charge but won't hold a charge. The alternator is working harder to keep your Odyssey running. You can call around to the auto parts store and some will test you battery in the car for free.Might also be the alternator not charging the battery. To test this yourself start the car and remove the - ground cable and if car dies it's the alternator.Shut off the car if it keeps running and then put the ground clamp back on.wear a glove on the hand and cover the + positive post up if it's bare so you don't hit it with a wrench and cause sparks. Hydrogen will explode a battery and scatter sulfuric acid all over.Thank You for choosing FixYa.
Check the battery cables, both ends for corrosion. clean or replace. The corrosion will travel up in the rubber coating of the wire. So if it looks like it is (usually will start to swell up) replace the cable. This is one reason for your problem. the other is the starter is just pulling to many amps. it needs replaced.
