In the door sill, there should be a lever or button at the lower portion of the door sill. Push on the lever/button while pulling on the seatbelt while allowing the slack to retract. It takes a few tries before the winding mechanism catches.

My 2016 nissan sentra middle rear seat belt is stuck in the retracted position. I can't use the seatbelt. how do I get it to release?

The likely cause is a broken spring/mechanism in the belt coil. I'm sure you can get a replacement for this belt.

The back left seat seems to be stuck due to the locking of the middle seatbelt. Any idea on how to fix that?

When a seatbelt locks up it is usually due to dirt or corrosion in the automatic locking mechanism. The mechanism can't release because it is under tension. If you get into the cover that houses the release mechanism for the seatbelt, you may be able to hit it with a little wd-40. You do have to release that tension so that the lock will spring back to the open position and allow the seatbelt to retract. Try the lube. Sometimes the galvanized coating on the internal parts causes a seize.

Xc90 driver seatbelt stuck in pillar

Some cars have a belt release button in the door frame . When you open the door the button releases the seat belt. Check to see if your vehicle has one. Make sure it is not stuck or broken. Hope this helps.

Driver seatbelt stuck

Try squirting some type of penetrating oil down where the belt inserts into the lock, then while pushing the release button as hard as you can, wiggle the belt latch up and down as hard as you can. Personally, I like SiliKroil penetrating fluid.

Seat belt stuck on 1995 850 volvo

I solved this on my 95 volvo 850 glt as follows:

pull the seatbelt pilar cover off from the door jamb. this runs vertically up the pilar between the front an back door (beside the front seats. Once opened loosen the belt by gently pulling the belt upward toward the roof. You'll have to do this sometimes in small increments. Once the seatbelt is pulled out all the way, spray small amount of lubricant into the joint where at the top of the belt spool. Also use a screw driver to push spool upward while pulling the belt. At first it's only going to release a little but eventually the lubricant will work its way into the seam at the top of the belt spool and loosen up the stuck inertia catch. Until it completely loosens you might have to remove the pilar cover again and work the seatbelt out (also use the screw driver technique described above) in order to use the seatbelt. When parking, I would relatch the seatbelt and pull the slack up around the back of the head rest. After a day or so it worked normally.

Automatic seatbelt 1994 saturn

You may have to replace the seatbelt positioner.
Check with Saturn (or their replacement GM division) to find if the warranty is extended for seatbelts (some manufacturers cover seatbelts forever) 800-553-6000
