Sounds like your head light switch took a ......go to napa and buy another one and change it out if you can't do it yourself i live in chicagoland area good luck

Tip: The max point reward for answering a question is 15.
The rheostat is the little dial on the dashboard that alters the brightness of the dash lights. It isn't under the hood. If your turn it all the way down until it clicks, it will turn off the lights. It will be in your manual.
Check the indicator switch, that seems to be all that is left in the system, except the flasher relay, depending on whether the vehicle uses the same one for the hazards or not.
