Previous periodic stalling, now won't start

My son has taken his blazer to a mechanic. He ran a diagnostic and cannot figure out what is wrong. Can someone figure out the problem without a diagnostic. Is it worth trying to fix it?

He said he couldn't find anything wrong after diagnostic. The
other thing that happened a few days ago when I was trying to
start it, it sounded like the normal turn over and then I heard a loud
pop, kind of like a backfire sound at the front of the car. I
waited a minute and tried again, and it started. Since then, my
son has driven it with occassional stalling for a couple of days but
    now it won't start.

Almost sounds like a faulty fuel regulator. I've seen that happen without triggering the OBD codes. I'd check the wiring on the fuel pump as well as it may not be running correctly. Also, check out the fuel filter. A clogged up fuel filter won't register the OBD either.

Yeah, please let us know what they find out bud. I hope it isn't costly to fix. A lot of times you might think something is going to be expensive to fix and it turns out to be only a few dollars. But there are those times that a small problem turns out to be over 500 dollars.

I have a 2003 Buick lesabre which starts and runs but periodically it stalls while driving it sometimes starts back up some times doesn't but the mechanics can't figure out what's wrong with it I think it...

Well mike the mechanic you use must not be very good ! Did he test fuel pressure ? This has no fuel switch but there is a relay an it is turned on by the PCM - powertrain control module ! When it won't start you need to find out what is missing Spark or fuel an go from there ! I will send a link for a youtube video on how to test this ! You could also test the fuel pump circuit at the relay in the under hood fuse/ relay junction block ! With a volt ohm meter test the relay socket , Two pin's should have batt. + one should have ground an the other should show open . that is the one from the PCM . 89 K5 Blazer 350 TBI cranks but won't start... the rad hose blew, i fixed it then the next day it bogged and backfired, ran fine cold, but when warmed up it would lose power and stall when trying

Have you checked Google I found this hopefully it's not your timing or it may be flooded but doubtful have you tried spraying starting fluid into the intake while cranking it

2001 galant, had cam shaft sensor replaced. Check engine light won't go off. Mechanic ran diagnostics again and said computer is reading a mis-fire in piston 1. Mechanic says there is NO mis-fire...

Ask your mechanic to please verify that he has the cam set in exactly the right position, and that the wires connecting it are still in good shape. The "misfire" could be that the computer is seeing the fuel-air explosion, and thinks it is at the wrong time due to the sensor being off.
