I have a Toyota Avanza, just put a new battery. On a same day when I was driving the car on the road suddenly the auto lock door can't work properly which turn off all the engine. Now the car can't start at all. what the problem with my car? I suppose it is because the electric system in the car but don't know why. Could you please help me. I only have one car and now all the car service in my town was closed cos hari raya. Thanks

As above, and works for all toyotas of a certain age, if it auto-locks when you put the car in gear, you can disable this if you wish - here's what to do:

Put the key in the ignition, turn it to the on position. Open the driver's door and remove the key (keep door open). Put the key in and out 4 times (in/ out only without any turning of the key) with the key taken out at the end. Hit the drivers side unlock button 5 times. Wait at least ten seconds and shut the driver's door. Away you go. If the car battery is ever disconnected it will reset this function, so you would have to repeat the above sequence once if this ever happens to disable the auto locking once again - or to put it back on, just disconnect the car battery for 10 minutes - remember to get the radio code before taking the battery off for any reason!
