My 2005 subaru legacy outback has a strong vibration and very loud associated noise that occurs at 25 mph gets progressively stronger until apx. 50 mph then tapers off as I approach 80 mph, though it does not disappear. I have replaced the drive shaft, the front and rear wheel bearings on the passenger side as well as the front driver side wheel bearing. I have had the passenger side cv axle replaced and new tires all around. I have taken it to a subaru dealer, who told me my tires were out of round, which prompted the new tires all around. In all I've taken this car to 4 mechanics with no resolution. Thank you for your time.

Loose bolts somewhere in the front end? you have had lots of work done there. wheel weights can fall off or a rim can be difficult to balance?

My 2000 Subaru Outback has a loud rattle from the rear gate (ie door)

Check your rear stabilizer bar an make sure that all the bolts are still intact. You may also want to crawl under the vehicle and give your muffler a shake to ensure that no mounts are missing. these are the most common issues associated with rattling from the rear of vehicle.

If I understand you correctly, you feel a vibration it the brake pedal when you apply the brakes. Is that correct?
Have your brake rotors re surfaced; they are warped.

Subaru vibration

I had similar problem with my '99 outback. Replaced the front half shafts and seemed much better. A few months later seemed to be comming back so replaced the driver side shaft again and the problem disappeared. I had put in rebuilt shafts and the driver side shaft was not rebuilt correctly.

2000 subaru outback/ clunk when i put it in reverse

Turn off engine . get the vehicle on level ground. try to move driveshaft back an forth or,by rocking in twist motion,,, try to hear a knock,,,this would indicate a worn universal joint.either front or back, if you are good enough to discern which one is making the klunk, change both to be on the safe side. think they may be about 20 dol apiece.
