I had this same problem with my wife's 2000 TL. Even when new it would play packaged CD's okay but not ones that were burned. Eventually, it would not even play the packaged ones. I took it to an auto stereo place and they said the laser is the problem. I had the unit serviced and it worked great for a while but now again will not play burned CD's very well.

Have the same issue, and was told to run the laser cleaner "CD" in it at least once a week. of course i waited until it was biasd on which cd's it would play & not play bc it doesnt matter if its a new cd or a burnd cd, its got a mind of its own now. i have a cd that it would always spit out at me & i ran the cd cleaner in it for a couple of hours and it actually didnt spit it out at me after, it actually read that there was music on it but, of course had to hold seek to get it to work.

I have a 2000 Acura TL and the radio cd player has been giving me a problem so I purhcased a radio from a salvage yard on eBay and they said I would be able to get the Security Code from an Acura dealer,...

Call an Acura dealership with that serial number and they should be able to provide you the code. Tell them you bring your car there for repairs and have purchased parts from them before.

Hi there...I downloaded music onto a blank CD and tried to play it in my 2006 Acura TL and it would not play...Is it the CD or the CD player? Thank you.

it is probably the format the music was burned on the cd,,,it could also be the cd player, some are more sensitive to burnt cds,,,

Acura tl cd player doesn't work, radio and cassette player work

Try this as the stereo may need to be reset- If you have jumped or replaced the battery at anytime this will happen. You have to get the serial number off the radio by removing it or partially taking it out to see the numbers on it try not to remove any cords. With the stereo out (to make sure you get the right number off of it) call an Acura dealership with the number and they will give you the another number to enter into the stereo and directions on how to punch the numbers in. Make sure while you have the stereo out you write the serial number down and keep it in a safe place also the number that the Acura dealership gives you because if you sell the car or if it happens again its easily accessible. Good Luck!

CD Format Acura Tl Type S 2007

Here is how it has to be done without costing you a bunch of money - Every time the battery is disconnected this has to be done: If you have jumped or replaced the battery at anytime this will happen (when you loose power you might not know this even happened). CD Player in Acura TL 3.2 2003

It's not that hard to fix it yourself.

for your 2003 TL
1. first remove the CD player (this is the hard part).
2. with the CD player removed, unscrew the top cover (4 or 5 screws) on the CD player.
3. with the top cover removed you can see the stuck CD.
4. all you have to do now is just push the CD out and reinstall

should be the same for your 04 TL but im not sure
