Will not play CD's anymore.. sometimes I can hold seek --> for long enough and it skips a couple tracks in, but plays.. How can I either replace or customize it to have some sort of auxilary wire I can use and adapter with to plug in AUX audio (ipod)
I had this same problem with my wife's 2000 TL. Even when new it would play packaged CD's okay but not ones that were burned. Eventually, it would not even play the packaged ones. I took it to an auto stereo place and they said the laser is the problem. I had the unit serviced and it worked great for a while but now again will not play burned CD's very well.
Have the same issue, and was told to run the laser cleaner "CD" in it at least once a week. of course i waited until it was biasd on which cd's it would play & not play bc it doesnt matter if its a new cd or a burnd cd, its got a mind of its own now. i have a cd that it would always spit out at me & i ran the cd cleaner in it for a couple of hours and it actually didnt spit it out at me after, it actually read that there was music on it but, of course had to hold seek to get it to work.
