My car acts like it has a part time fuel pump. Or issue with fuel. It looses power when driving and surges and sometimes dies at a stop light. I starts back up with little problem so far. When you slow down to go over a bump or brake it will try to die as well.. I think it is the fuel pump but not sure. It has had a tume up and and the Idle Air control sensor replaced but we still have problems

I WOULD SAY FUEL PUMP REPLACE FUEL FILTER FIRST SEE IF IT HELP PROBLEM.I WOULD CHECK FUEL PRESSURE WHICH SHOULD BE 41 - 47 PSI. CHECK FUEL PRESSURE FIRST BEFORE BUYING NEW FUEL PUMP.

Why does my 94 buick stops running for no reason, acts like it is running out of gas

Could be anything electrical. A weak relay, the coil pack or ignition module, and so on.
You'll need to figure out what is loosing electrical power when it fails to start to know what to test. You might start with the fuel pump relay.

My 1995 jeep will die just driving and sometimes will start right back up other times you have to wait about an hour. fuel pump is working fine you can hear it

The pump can be running but not pumping any fuel.
When it stops running you will need to figure out if you are loosing spark to the plugs or fuel to the injectors.

FUEL FILTER,,IF IT IS OLD-REPLACE!
FUEL PUMP NOT REALLY SUSPECT.....BUT POSSIBLE AS IN A THERMAL SHORTING (AFTER A SHORT TIME)
YOU HAVE TO DETERMINE WHETHER THIS DELAYED STALL ISSUE, IS COMING FROM A FUEL OR ELECTRICAL MALFUNCTION. IE: ELECTRIC CUT OUT...SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER...FUEL ISSUES: ROUGH RU..THEN SHUTS DOWNNING, BUCKING & SURGING

Check all your vacuum hoses especially at the PCV coming off the valve cover it is often over looked. The PCV fits loose either put a new bushing in the cover or add some black tape to the PCV at least until you figure out that might be the issue. Also your timing should be at TDC or 2 degrees plus or minus. Contrary to popular belief You can use a timing light you can see the timing mark know about where it is and line up the fly wheel mark accordingly.

My car randomly stalls while I am driving. I have went about a week without it acting up but eventually the problem occurs again. When this happens the lights on my dash illuminates and the vehicle looses...

Probably fuel pump issue. if it has 100k or more miles, replace it. test for this would be to check fuel pressure while it is running and acting up, you'll see a marked difference in pressure at times it acts up.

Hello, I have a 2002 nissan sentra, 1.8 ltr..and the car sundenly has started acting as if it is not getting fuel, sometimes it runs fine for about 15 minutes, stopping and going as it should, then it will...

You will need to run a fuel pressure test on it to see if your fuel pressure is correct. How many miles are on the car and when was the last time the fuel filter was replaced.
