I have a cd jammed in the player and it keeps trying to eject even when the car is off and it is killing my battery. Where is the fuse located to disconnect the cd player? I have a 06 Pontiac G6.

The cd unit has to be disconnected and removed to get the cd out, to disconnect, reach under the dash under the cd unit, find the harness connector that plugs into it, unplug it by pressing the latch and pulling out uniformly, that'll keep your battery from draining for now until you get the cd jam fixed.

Will a bad battery make the cd player act weird and keep making noise when car is turned off

Not likely... If it was the battery then it wouldn't hold a charge as well and possible burn out your alternator.

Most common problem with the stereo in your car is the CD player/changer.
The load/unload mechanism gets jammed or the gears wear out and it continuously tries ejecting.

2003 cadillac cts will not eject cd

Hi, Worst thing you done was to remove the battery, but ref: CD player look under the volume control (on/off) you should find a very small hole enough for a paper clip to be pushed in & eject the cd check your fuse since removing battery may have caused quick short touched & blown fuse. Please give feedback at [email protected] Thanks, Malcolm Campbell.

Hi my CD player will not eject my CD.s. It keeps giving me the CD error. We removed the #7 & #31 fuses. We have disconnected the battery are there any other suggestions to remove my CDs. I'm also...

do you hear your palyer motor running when you press eject??If so, the rollers that shoot the cd out are dirty or worn. This may work, Pound lightly on the top of the dash (above the stereo) while the CD is being ejected. I had the same problem on my 03 expedition, I pounded in the dash and the cd comes out. If your system is jammed, you would have to take it apart. Oh, this vahicle has alot of issues with A/C and heater controls, your actuator motor is probably faulty, making it unable to change airflow!!

My Cd player in my 2004 Jeep grand cherokee laredo wont eject the cd. It recognizes that there is a cd there and will even play the cd when i press the mode button but it wont eject it. Any help is...

I have an 05 jeep grand cherokee and the other day when I went to hit the the eject button on the CD player it automatically went straight to the radio. After I restarted the vehicle I could hit mode and it would begin to play the cd again but if I tried to hit eject it would go to the radio again. It doesnt have a disc changer and everything else on the factory head unit is working find, the radio, all that stuff. I didnt want to start tearing things apart or trying to dig it out. I have sees some others with the same problem on here, but the answer are like "dig in there with tweezers" and I dont think thats the best possible way to solve the problem. Any Ideas?

I have a cd stuck in my player. It won't play and

I'm not sure of any tried and true way of freeing a jammed cd's but one I've used before is: with the player on take another cd (preferably one you don't care about) and slide part of it (about an inch) into the player and under or over the jammed cd. While pushing on the eject button "wiggle" the cd your using as an lever up and down and and this may free up the jammed cd. I hope this helps. Good luck.

I have a sony audio cd stuck in the cd player. Ejection error displays when ejection button pressed. How did I get it outwithout damaging player?

Try disconnecting the battery for 1 min and after reconnecting the battery, try ejecting the CD from the radio. This should work, and if it does not then it's mechanical problem with the CD player. Good luck and hope this works.

CD stuck in CD player and won't eject.

Disconnect the fuse for the radio. This is cause the radio to reboot. You do not need to mess with the battery. After replacing the fuse, or removing, it, and putting it back in, you can proceed to try to remove the CD. I used a pair of tweezers.I actually jammed two CDs into the player. Hope this helps.
