1993 cadillac sedan deville security system going off wont disarm. how do i disable it all together?

if you have a visible chip on the key (resistor), the car may not be able to read the signal and go into fail safe mode.

Also try to unlock the car from the drivers door to see if there is an alarm issue. The disarm wire is attached to the key lock cylinder in the drivers door.

This is a pretty easy fix if you follow my instructions. You must first take an ohm meter set at 20k and touch the leeds(one red and one black)one to either side of the chip key. You may have to put the key in a vise or holder to get a good reading. The reading will be the value of the resistor in the key. Go to radio shack and buy a resistor of the value shown (the meter must be set at 20k) then under the dash coming directly from the ignition you will find 2 thin white wires cut those wires. Strip the two ends leading back to the harness or firewall and splice the resistor you bought in between the two that were stripped. Effectively bypassing the resistor reading switch (ignition) in the security system

find the orange covered 2 small white wires as they exit underdash from the steering column. cut the 2 wires and solder in a resistor on the wiring side of the vehicle[not the column side. use an ohmeter on the key itself to find the ohm value in the range of 725-1200 ohms. get a resistor of within 50 oms of the key,solder in as described,drive off.
