1991 Dodge Daytona Spits and Sputters to a stop.

My 1991 Dodge Daytona will run for a about 20 minutes then it spits and sputters to a stop. I have to get out bang the fuel filter and Gas tank with a wrench and then restart it. Could this be a fuel filter problem, and fuel pump problem, or maybe a trashey gas tank?

its ur fuel pump ull have to drop the tank and change the fuel filter and change the fuel pump make sure ur lines are in good shape and check the gas tank how banged up it is Austin

A bad fuel pump may cause a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9l to run for a few minutes and just shut off without sputtering. It can also be that the fuel pressure regulator (on top of fuel pump assembly) is stopped up. TUNE-UP, SPARK PLUGS, WIRES, AIR & FUEL FILTERS, FUEL INJECTOR CLEANER IN TANK, ALSO REPLACE PCV VALVE, & MOST IMPORTANT, REPLACE EGR VALVE, IT GETS TOTALLY CLOGED UP, YOUR ENGINE IS KNOWN FOR THAT. I HAVE A GNC 2500, 3/4 TON. SEEN IT ALL. CHANGE YOUR DISTRIBUTOR CAP & ROTOR ALSO. JUST DO IT !!!!!!!!!!!
