I have a Jaguar XJ6 Sovereign that keeps blowing the door lock fuse. It doesn't matter if I use the key or manually pull the plunger it, always manages to blow when I UNLOCK the system. I have also tried this on the passenger side with the same results. Please advise.

SOURCE: Security Light always on, door lock fuse keeps blowing

This is most likely a problem with your Passlock anti-theft system which is known issue with these cars. Passlock is a "passive" anti-theft system, which means that it will disable your ability to start the car if it thinks there is a problem. The three components that can cause this are: 1) Ignition Switch, 2) Ignition Cylinder, 3) Body Control Module (computer). The dealer is the only one who can solve this problem (unless you can bypass it, but it is not that easy). Estimated repair from most dealers is $800 and up.

SOURCE: passenger side door will only unlock if you pull handle and only lock if you push lock down.key, switch or remote won't work.

You are on the right track.

Door panel is easy to take off. you need a screwdriver and a panel popper (or if you don't have one carefully pull the panel off with your hands, you may have to get new panel clips) ,they are cheap so no big deal.

Jaguar x300 central locking problem

If the locks are working whilst you are driving then more and likely it is the actual door lock assy that is bad. the solenoid go bad and can cause erratic operation. But unfortunately they are only available with the whole door lock/latch assy.
I would disconnect the drivers and see if the problem still exists.
