Can't remove key from ignition m45 2004 infinity

Fob may have dead battery. May have led to lockout

Enter your Infiniti, closing the door behind you.

Use your power door lock button on the driver's side door panel to lock all of the Infiniti's doors.

Complete this next step within 10 seconds of completing step 1:
Insert your key into the ignition of your Infiniti and pull it back out 6 times. You will be alerted by flashing lights when you successfully complete this step correctly. NOTE: Withdraw key completely from ignition cylinder each time. If this procedure is performed too fast, the system will not enter 'programming mode.'

Next, re-insert the key into the ignition and turn the key to the ACC setting, (immediately before the "On" position.) Within 5 seconds of turning your key in the ignition, push any button on your keyless entry remote. Once again, lights will flash when you have correctly performed this step.

Turn key to off position and remove key from the ignition.

Exit the vehicle and close the door to end programming mode.

use a broken key remover. very cheap tool that comes with
lock pick set. thin metal strip with a hook at the end. fiddly job but it works.
remove broken piece of key then get a duplicate made

Put one hand on the steering wheel and rotate slightly left and right alternatively whilst turning the ignition key at the same time with the other hand. This might release the steering wheel and start ignition.

Your PATS key may have to be reprogrammed to the car.
PATS(Passive Anti-Theft System).
Some key and lock shops may have the scan tool to do it, otherwise a trip to the stealership.

sounds like the power steering try this jack up the front end with engine off turn ignition key to the on position but not running turn the wheel back and forth to both stops a couple times start engine and see if whirring sound is gone
