This has to do with the SRS (or saftey restraint system) and is telling you that the buckle is not registering that you are buckled in. Now.. this could be a simple buckle malfunction or a needed reflash of the SRS module which can only be done by the dealer. You should still have a warranty left on this to get it taken care of. I would call 1-949-468-4800. These section is located in Irvine, CA and should be able to assist you. Have the VIN ready so they can look up your specific vehicle. This will be located on the driver;s side of the dash and can be seen through the windshield or on the driver's door sticker.

I have a 2010 Kia Forte that, even when my seatbelt is buckled, the seatbelt chime is going off every 3-4 minutes. Is there a trick to disabling this seatbelt chime as some other cars do?

You can disconnect the chime bell itself but if there is a problem with the system & the chime is necessary it wont engage. U should have it ckd out & repaired the proper way from the professional point of view. If u cant do it yourself, take it to a shop u trust. Good luck

Reset seatbelt chime?

I can only think of a couple of things that might cause that 1st look down inside the latch of the seatbelt just to see if something way have gotton down in there and is creating or stopping a connection . and the second thing is there should be a ground wire down by the floor wher you connect the seatbelt at . one last thing on the off chance the comp is getting a screwy signal just disconnect the neg battery cable for 5-10 minutes this will allow the comp to reset

Air bag Light Stays on.

The seat cushion has an occupant sensor. if it detects occupant and no buckle latch , it may see this as a fault. You may also have a switch failure in the buckle assembly as well.

Overheating

Sounds like there's a leak in your coolant system or the gagues are malfunctioning. My friend has a 2005 Spectra5 and he has been having problems with the check engine light. Apparently it's a software problem that he's waiting for the manufacturer to have a fix for it. My recommendation is to take it into the dealership right away, perhaps even have it towed in just in case it may cause damage to the engine to drive it as is. A suggestion when you have a brand new car, you should not take it on long freeway trips (i.e. do not let the engine set at a fixed engine speed including idle) for more than 10 minutes at a time until you have 500 miles on it to allow it to properly break in first.
