Question about 1995 Nissan Pathfinder
I have a 95 nissan pathfinder. recently replaced alternator and battery. ran for a couple weeks. now will not stay running after it is started. battery drains after it is started. battery has been checked at oreilleys and check good. alternator tests good on their tester but in the car i drop voltage when it starts and runs. it wont run around the block and i have to charge the battery after it dies cuz it wont start again. after we installed the alternator we had it tested at oreillys and when the engine was revved it showed 13.5v and said good.
oreillys said to put alternator back in vehichle and bring it up. problem is, it wont run long enough to get there. any ideas?
Check all grounds running from all electrical, If there is not a good contact this problem will occur, when you locate the ground surface take sandpaper or even a knife and scrape or sand the connector and the ground surface then reconnect it, It should return to normal if not then it could be a solenoid possibly but not sure

Not sure what the issue is as a motor, unless you are running all your accesories should run off the battery for abit.
quick test. put a completely charged battery in the vehicle. start it up.... unhook the battery.... if it dies.... alternator.... if it keeps running battery.
