Where's the starter located on a 96 cadillace deville north star engine?

Use navigators

Check connections to the battery posts, connections to solenoid on starter , test alternator by checking voltage at battery posts while running the engine (parts stores will do it for you).

On the driver's side front wheel

i believe that the starter is not under the car , its under the intake ,but im not for sure? did one a long time ago cant remember if it was the north star motor ?im almost positive it was that 4.9 l hope this helps

All starters are located close to the flywheel. This is at the rear of the engine, and the connection of the transmission. Normally it is at the bottom. Look for the big positive wire from the battery to the starter relay and then goes to the starter. (the starter relay is a connection box with a third wire to go to the starter. )

It's on the right rear corner of the engine near the power steering pump. See the picture below.

if it is a north star yes and it has to come out the bottom by removeing the cradle
