The belt routing diagram is usually on a sticker under the hood. probably near the radiator. otherwise check your owners manual.

If the same as my '94 cyl then you tighten the belt by loosening the bolt that the alternator pivots on and the bolt that tightens the alternator to it's adjustment bracket. For my truck this is neither fun nor easy. The a/c and power steering belts having idler pulleys with adjustments on them making them MUCH easier to deal with.
