If the same as my '94 cyl then you tighten the belt by loosening the bolt that the alternator pivots on and the bolt that tightens the alternator to it's adjustment bracket. For my truck this is neither fun nor easy. The a/c and power steering belts having idler pulleys with adjustments on them making them MUCH easier to deal with.

I have a 2013 Jetta. My alternator light came on and my power steering stopped working. Do you have diagram to make sure this is the power steering pump belt that I need to replace?

I don't have a diagram and one is hardly needed as all you need to do is raise the bonnet/hood and use the evidence of your own eyes - if the belt is so bad it has stopped driving the alternator/PAS pump, there will be no mistakes as the belt will probably be absent...

Diagram 2007 jetta serpentine belt, there are 2

You should be able to find it on the Daycoproducts.com web site under automotive products. They have a link which will take you to pages of belt diagrams for a large range of cars.

A few vehicles have a diagram on a sticker under the bonnet so check there as well if you have not already.

Otherwise contact a VW service center and obviously they can help you with it.
