1999 Audi A6 gear shift not moving, even with break applied

The lock shift solenoid that works withe break pedal has gone bad... it's located next to or In front of the shifter.. on some vehicles. You have a key slot that you can use another key or small screw driver in it to unlock the shifter. Just replace that and it should be fine..

My serpentine belt flew off my 1999 Audi A6 Quattro. I want to do this job myself and was wondering if anyone has a belt diagram and also a list of what tools I will need? I am hoping I do not need to...

you will need to determine WHY it came off in the first place. belts just dont fly off for no reason. you may be better to find a shop that does euro work and is familiar with audi.

1999 Audi A6-Oil Leak-Front of Engine

could be a bad seal on one of the camshafts. could also be from the valve cover. You need to wash the engine down carefully -don't get the wires wet and look closely for the oil path. is it engine oil or transmission fluid?
