I have a 1990 Honda Prelude Si with a Pursuit alarm system that serves no purpose to me and I want it out. I believe my car won't start anymore because of a problem with the alarm system and I just want to be rid of it. How do I remove the alarm system and hook the factory wires back? Thanks

SOURCE: replaced in/tank fuel pump.

I have had problems with my 89 prelude. I found that the problem wasn't with the fuel pump, rather the master relay. You will have voltage at the fuel pump with the fuel pump dicconnected, but when you connect the pump and put a electrical load on the circuit, the voltage drops. check current with the pump running and see if this is the case.

SOURCE: The tachometer on my 92 Honda Prelude Si works but the factory speedometer isn't whatsoever.

Its probably your speed sensor mounted on the back side of your transmission on top of the final drive gear. Its the sensor/plug located just under the shift linkage. Make sure its bolted down tight and check for any loose connections.

The solenoid is on or in the starter depending on if the car has a mitsuba or a nippondeso starter. The mitsuba has to be replaced, the nippo can be repaired with a new set of contacts and a plunger. They are both located on the passenger side and can be found by following the positive cable to the starter.

What lbs do I tighten the head bolts to on my 1990 Honda prelude SI 2.1L DOHC and in what order do I tighten them?

Go inside the local Autozone and ask for the cylinder head torque specs. They will look it up and print it out for you. It will contain the torque specifications as well as the sequences. Happy torquing.

1994 Honda Prelude si starting problems

Your starter motor is either not getting power or in need of replacement. Otherwise, there is nothing wrong with your car.

Also check your battery connections for no corrosion there as well as by the starter motor. Low voltage circuits in a car are extremely vulnerable to poor contact issues.

Where is the freeze plug on 1990 Honda prelude si 4ws 2.1 vtec

freeze plugs are located along the block on any engine. it's a indented circle piece of metal that is press fit into the block along the water jacket so that it ill bust if the coolant freezes rather than busting your block. they usually rust rather than bust
