Can you please tell me if I find an idle air sensor for a Saturn SL2 for less than $239.46? I have only found the part at a certified Saturn service provider at the stated price. THANKS! Marlene

If you are looking for the part that controls the engine idle speed then it is the IAC, idle air control valve.

Sometimes a shot of spray carb cleaner is all that's needed to free up a sticking IAC.

96 Saturn sl2 shift hard been told auto trans control solonoid only does it for 1st and 2nd can some one tell me what other cars have alike part can not find it online

Transmission shop is your only answer, parts are only required to be available for 10 years from the production date. Since that company also folded you are out of luck

RMPs won't drop on 97 SL2

on the s series it was very common for carbon to build up inside the idle air control valve-IAC valve.there are too expensive and are easy to fix-buy the part so you know what is looks like the look at your throttle body(follow your air filter box tube to the top of the engine-the throttle body)the iac is right there.

1992 Saturn SL2 stalls after running about 5 minutes

my only guess is a vacuum hose leak. possibly a loose air filter housing, or the mass air flow sensor. look for any hoses unplugged. if nothing is noticed, try cleaning out your fuel system. if that doesnt solve it, then it would be something an experienced mechanic would have to come and examine it personally.

2000 Saturn SL2 this month I replaced radiator, water pump, thermastat and it keeps over heating. The temperature gauge does not raise past 1/4 (normal) the overflow container is full at a 50/50 mix. the...

first determine if the car is actualy getting hot.dont trust the gauge or fan for these are controled by a temp sensor, if the sensor went bad it will tell you its hot. the other thing it might be is a air bubble trapped in the system

Saturn '99 SL2 erratic tickover on idle

Idle problem most likey a Coolant Temp sensor & connector.Cam covers very common to leak around the sides & down into the spark plug holes. Also all saturn s-series 1.9 engine consume oil. Most 1qt. per 1500 miles some more some less.Service Engine Lamp has nothing to do with regular maintenance. It's a malfunction indicator lamp.If it's on there is Trouble codes stored in the ECM.Auto zone free scan with printout.Hope that helps
