Hi Tony, If the car ran out of fuel the fuel rail will be empty. Pressurized fuel must fill the rail before injection is possible. The pressure of the fuel in the rail should be somewhere around three point eight bar. Crank the vehicle for about forty seconds at a time and then allow the starter to cool. Repeat until the car starts. A better method is to identify the fuel pump relay, remove it and bridge the switching connections, but that can be dangerous unless you have a knowledge of electrical circuits. Regards John
Sounds like fuel pump is running but can not produce enough pressure. try pressurizing the tank with compressed air(may have an air lock) and if that doesnt work consult your local jag dealer for tips before you replace the fuel pump....
