I have a 1989 Oldsmobile Cutlass Cruiser with a 3.3 liter V 6 engine; I seem have a problem in my fuel supply system, which is occurring with grater frequency. I am getting no codes to aide in diagnosing my problem. It's like my fuel injectors are not delivering fuel to the cylinders for just a millisecond causing my engine to die and resume operation, unless when it is at idle speeds where it sometimes cuts out completely. This problem is intermittent, sometimes it occurs in rapid succession, and some times with longer intervals in between. I have tried a new fuel pump relay, I replaced the fuel filter, I have run gas treatment / fuel injector cleaner through it, this only seemed to make the problem worse, I even tried changing the mass air flow censor because it seems to mimic a problem I had with another Olds I once owed. My question is could the fuel pump be going out, do these fuel pump's tend to die a slow death? Do you have any other suggestions as to what the problem might be if not the fuel pump?
