I changed the starter and it still want start

If there is no noise (no cranking) when you try to start iy be sure you:
1. Have a good battery (this is the most common issue). Your battery may seem like it has power because it will light the lights/radio etc. but that doesn't mean it has enough juice to crank the engine. Try a jump start with a known good battery and see if it starts. If it does, you need a new battery. Once you have verified your battery is good be sure to verify that your alternator is working correctly. You should have at least 14.5v at the battery when the engine is running
2. Check all your fuses, replace any that are blown
3. Verify you are getting 12v at the starter when you try to start it. If not, then there is an electrical issue somewhere between the ignition switch and the starter.

99 GMC denali BCM

The BCM has nothing to do with the starting of the vehicle . ( lately it doesnt start ) ?????? Doesn't start how ? When you turn the key to start does the starter spin the engine ? But doesn't start an run ? This is a crank no start condition . Sounds like a fuel delivery problem , what is the fuel pressure ? What engine ! What type fuel injection ( CPI ) Try spraying carb cleaner into the engine ,through the throttle plate an see if it starts then . fuel pressure should be 415-455 kPa (60-66 psi)

Check your battery voltage with the car running and verify that your alternator is working (should see 13.5-15v if it is)

I have a 1995 Volvo 960 Sedan won't start

Try shifting the transmission to neutral and try starting the engine, if it starts, the gear position sensor is bad, which is very common on this car.
Or, the starter may be bad, not common, but possible!

Starting engine problems

It seems to be a PCM failure. (Power control module). I would suggest that you take it to a good mechanic. it is fairly easy to remove and reinstall. But if it is a different PCM you will have to do a re-learn on the PCM. that is not that easy. but if you find somebody to do it, it is worth it. Be sure and tell them you know that it is the PCM. I really hope this works for you. it is worth the try. Better than having all those problems.
